The National Relief Network Provides Seniors Completing a Senior Project An Incredible Opportunity!!!
Across the nation many students completing the requirements of the Senior Project® Program may be researching aspects of natural disasters, e.g. Katrina. Of course, those same students must then decide upon a related project/ product. Though volunteerism with a disaster relief agency may be a goal, until now, those student possibilities have been very limited. However, the nationally recognized and acclaimed National Relief Network has stepped forward and created a remarkable opportunity for seniors carrying out a Senior Project® Program who are seeking this type of experience.
The National Relief Network (NRN) will be administering and providing student-volunteer, disaster relief options for Senior Project students throughout 2008. This exciting program provides students from across the country the unique option to participate with the NRN as they provide help to federal disaster areas and aid to the families who are not only struggling to rebuild their homes but also their lives. (Please note that participation requires a parental signed liability waiver, a fee covering transportation from the airport to the site, lodging, food and related materials. Travel costs are the responsibility of the student and/ or parents. Approved onsite chaperones will be provided by the NRN.
