Privacy Policy

The Partnership for Dynamic Learning, Inc. (P4DL) works to protect your personally identifiable information (PII). This policy applies to all P4DL web resources.

Information Collection and Use: Some registration forms in the P4DL web space request contact and profile information (e.g. user name, email address, and zip code). Some of the requested information is required in order to receive emailed materials, while other information is optional. The required information is clearly marked as such on the registration pages. P4DL obtains PII from subscribers only if the subscriber supplies it voluntarily. Periodically, P4DL may contact users (including visitors and subscribers) to solicit voluntary feedback on its services and products. In addition, P4DL may track the open-rates of emails, linked-to referrals, and clicking patterns within P4DL web content. P4DL uses information collected by the above means to:

  • provide personalized and targeted content to all P4DL users,
  • provide aggregated information about site visits and email communication volume, and
  • to monitor access of copyrighted materials to enforce intellectual property rights.

Information Sharing: Many P4DL products and services are underwritten or sponsored by partner organizations (foundations, other not-for-profit organizations, and commercial companies). These partnerships are designed to subsidize the deployment of P4DL resources to end users and, to further this purpose, some P4DL materials may be co-branded or otherwise include identification of partner companies or products, to particular groups of P4DL users. Where this is the case and registration forms are required, PII from those forms only may be shared with the organization sponsoring the activity for which the registration is required. No other PII will be shared with these organizations and, beyond this exception; no PII is ever shared with any other partner organization or third parties.

Security: This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Established outside companies provide web hosting, utilizing hardware infrastructure housed in controlled access facilities; which restrict access to authorized individuals. Administrative activities are carried out over secure, encrypted links between our offices and hosting facility, with access limited only to authorized employees by controlling access to encrypted links, remote administration protocols, passwords, and IP addresses.

User information is backed up on a daily basis to protect against accidental loss. All employees with access to user information are properly trained in applicable security policies and practices and P4DL will continue to coordinate with hosting companies to conduct internal audits of security systems and to make all necessary enhancements to ensure the safety of P4DL web content and its users.

Contacting the Partnership for Dynamic Learning, Inc.: Users who contact P4DL via email or through the voluntary feedback process mentioned above will not receive any communication other than a response to their submission, unless it is specifically requested by the user.

Log Files: P4DL web hosting systems capture industry standard information solely for the purposes of analysis of web content usage. Information contained in log files is intended for internal use only and will not be disclosed to our partners or any third parties.

Cookies: Temporary client-side cookies are used to verify unique session status of users while they are interacting with some P4DL web resources. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any PII while on our site. If users reject the cookies, they may still use our site, with the understanding that some functionality will be lost and access to some content will not be enabled.

Email Distribution Opt-Outs: Any email sent through P4DL systems contains an easy, automated way for you to cease receiving our emailed information. To unsubscribe, follow the directions provided at the bottom of all email distributions.

Correcting and Updating User Information: P4DL systems give users the option to change and modify information previously provided. To change subscription information, follow the process described for each individual system.

Notification of Changes: This policy may be amended in writing at the time of collection but only for specific PII collected at that point. If P4DL is going to use PII in a manner different from that stated here, as this policy might be so amended, we will notify uses by email. They will be given the choice of whether or not to allow use of said information in this different manner. Further, if we make any substantive changes in our privacy policy that do not affect user information already stored in our databases, we will post a notice on appropriate site notifying users of the change. This posting may be complemented by an email notification to users who have opted to receive communications from us, explaining the changes in practice.
