Nancy Gardner, Executive Director

Nancy is a National Board Certified teacher currently teaching at Mooresville High School in Mooresville, NC. She has been a Senior Project consultant for more than 17 years, and she works with the Center for Teacher Quality on its Implementing Common Core Standards/Literacy Design Collaborative. A 1973 graduate of Florida State University, with a Masters in English from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, Nancy has held a variety of educational roles related to curriculum and supervision positions. She has authored numerous articles and currently works nationally and regionally with schools, districts, and state departments of education. Nancy strongly believes in the balance, value, and need for educational personalization and project-based learning. It is her belief that we teach 'students, not content,' and this is the driving force behind all that she does. 


For over 25 years, the Senior Project Center has been providing individual teachers, schools, districts, and state departments the training, materials, resources, technology, and coaching to implement Senior Project programs that demonstrate the rigor,relevance, and quality for their students' futures in the 21st Century economy.  

Mary Magee, General Manager

Mary has over 10 years of teaching experience and holds a B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she graduated Cum Laude with a NC state teaching certification and license. It is her belief that every student has the ability to be a success.

In addition, the Senior Project® Center contracts with a cadre of training consultants whose expertise in the Senior Project® program is unparalleled.  They represent many years of experience with the Senior Project® program as teachers, coordinators, and administrators.  Clients are matched to just the right consultant(s) to meet their program needs.
